Next Generation Suborbital Researchers Conference – Call for Papers
February 27-29, 2011 – Palo Alto, California
Abstract Submission Deadline: December 2, 2011
These vehicles will revolutionize space access by providing frequent, low-cost access to space, and the capability to carry research and education crew members―thereby simplifying and further reducing the cost of experimentation in space. They will also carry automated experiments for technology and TRL-raising demonstrations, for educational/public outreach, and for atmospheric science, solar physics, microgravity science, planetary science, space life science, space physics, and education and public outreach (EPO) NSRC-2012 will provide a forum for researchers, educators, and other users to learn about the research and EPO capabilities of these new systems, their experiments, and EPO integration processes. NSRC-2012 will also provide the user community for these vehicles a key opportunity to make inputs on vehicle design and operational requirements. Online AP Classes Available from the Illinois Institution of Technology
If you're teaching programming to high-school students, what can you do for students who are ready for an advanced programming course in data structures? Some universities won't accept credit for a high-school data structures course without AP credit for the AP CS AB Exam, but the exam is no longer being given. Fortunately, college transfer credit equivalent to the AP exam is acceptable and available. If you're planning to teach a data structures course in Java during the second semester of the 2011-2012 school year, you can augment your instruction and get your students college credit by having your students take an online class - in parallel with your course - from the Department of Computer Science at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Your students would be admitted as non-degree students at IIT and register for an online section of Data Structures and Algorithms (CS 331) in Spring 2012.
