More than 50 Nobel laureates are urging Congress to save the federal research establishment from budget cuts, which they say could endanger the innovation engine that is essential to the U.S. economy. "We urge you to keep the budgets of the agencies that support science at a level that will keep the pipelines full," the laureates say in a letter to Congress.
