All – just a reminder. XSEDE 12 paper abstracts are due today. With an abstract submission today, you can receive an automatic extension to submit your paper to 2 May. But you MUST get your abstracts in today! (And please try to put in good abstracts: "This is a draft of an abstract for a paper the topic of which I will figure out within the next week and then write" would constitute a too-cynical use of the extension policy.) We're getting LOTS of interest in XSEDE12 as judged by paper and poster submissions. XSEDE12 already set a record for tutorial proposals as compared to the TeraGrid conferences. We should have excellent technical content for the conference, thanks to the responses we are getting from you! As a reminder, the full announcement about the extension is included below. Sincerely, Craig (XSEDE12 General Chair) p.s. And because someone is going to ask: midnight today, wherever you are, is the cutoff. If you live in upstate New York and your abstract comes in at 5 am eastern Thursday morning, you're going to have to convince us you were in Hawaii by taking the full program committee out to see the hotel you say you were in. XSEDE12 Deadline Extension for Papers XSEDE12 will extend the deadline for paper submissions to May 2, provided an abstract is submitted by the April 25th deadline. A paper abstract must be submitted by April 25 to qualify for the May 2nd extension. All abstract-only submissions are still due April 25. No further extensions will be issued. For details, including updates to the Key Dates for XSEDE12 submissions, please see: https://www.xsede.org/web/xsede12/call-for-participation .
