Seeking Student Poster Judges at XSEDE12

If you are going to be in Chicago next week for the XSEDE'12 conference and would like to add an exciting and dynamic activity to your participation, have I got an opportunity for you!

The Student Poster contest is looking for judges. We have submissions from 32 students - high school, undergraduates and graduate students - presenting their work in computational science and technology. At the Poster Reception, Wednesday evening from 6-9pm, we'd like members of the XSEDE community to evaluate this work and help us identify the best posters in each of the academic level. Certificates will be presented for the Best Student Poster at each level for the conference.

We will provide a rubric for judging, which highlights the criteria that are significant in presenting this work. With enough judges, you should only need to evaluate 5-7 posters. We're also looking into some sort of tangible show of appreciation for your time; more on that if/when it happens.

The students are looking forward to meeting you and hearing your feedback, so this is a very rewarding activity on both sides. If you're interested in helping with this, please send me an email, preferably between now and Sunday, July 15, so I can set things up before we all get into the frenzy of the conference.

Thanks so much! I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
