Local San Diego area high school students have expressed an enthusiastic interest in Student Day, part of the upcoming XSEDE13 conference taking place in July at the San Diego Marriott Marquis. Applications have topped the fifty mark, which is the goal number sought by the conference organizers. With substantial funding assistance from the National Science Foundation, students will be able to participate in a national, high performance computing conference right in their own backyard.
