Description: The Nanoparticle (NP) Characterization Science Gateway empowers users to simulate ions near a nanoparticle (NP) or confined between NPs, and obtain the surface characteristics of the NP as well as ionic structure near the NP surface. The gateway facilitates investigations for a wide array of NP, ionic, and environmental parameters using standard molecular dynamics (MD) method for unpolarizable surfaces and an advanced MD technique for polarizable surfaces (dielectric interfaces).
