XSEDE services being retired on 8/31
When XSEDE ends on August 31, 2022 the following services will be shutdown and will no longer be available:
- The XSEDE-CILogon integration (https://www.cilogon.org/xsede)
- Authentication with CILogon after September 1 will work by selecting ACCESS as the identity provider instead of XSEDE. This functionality is available for testing now. See https://identity.access-ci.org/
- XSEDE COmanage (https://registry.xsede.org)
- The XSEDE InCommon Identity Provider (https://www.xsede.org/ecosystem/operations/security/incommon)
- idp.xsede.org will be replaced by idp.access-ci.org starting September 1. Authentication via idp.access-ci.org is available now for testing. See https://identity.access-ci.org/
- The XSEDE MyProxy service (https://www.xsede.org/ecosystem/operations/security/myproxy)
- The XSEDE MyProxy OAuth service (https://oa4mp.xsede.org/oauth/)
- The SSO login hub at login.xsede.org (https://portal.xsede.org/single-sign-on-hub)
Furthermore, the XSEDE support for the following packages will also end:
- Grid Community Toolkit (http://software.xsede.org/production/globus-client-xsede/latest/)
- Legacy GridFTP using Grid Community Toolkit or Globus Connect Server 4.x (http://software.xsede.org/production/globus-gridftp-xsede/latest/)
- Developers using GridFTP services based on Grid Community Toolkit or Globus Connect Server 4.x should switch to using Globus Connect Server v5.4 programming interfaces to interact with ACCESS endpoints.
- GSI-OpenSSH client and server software (http://software.xsede.org/production/gsi-openssh-server/latest/)
- The xdusage command-line client (https://portal.xsede.org/software/xdusage) will only report XSEDE usage through mid-August, 2022. ACCESS will introduce a new accessusage command in the coming weeks that reports all XSEDE and ACCESS usage moving forward.
Please reach out to help@xsede.org before August 31, 2022, if you have any questions.
