I am new to XSEDE and am applying for a startup allocation. In the application form we are asked to pick up the resources we would like to use. This is something that brings me confusion. For example,

1) From some posts here, I learned that Ember of NCSA is no longer available for XSEDE, and indeed in Resource Monitor of XSEDE Portal, we do not see Ember. But it is still listed in the application form.

2) Lincoln, another cluster from NCSA, is not listed in the application form, but seems available to XSEDE users. The status of Lincoln is shown in Resource Monitor.

3) NCSA Forge is listed as "Coming Soon" on NCSA's own webpage, but is listed as available in the application form, while not listed in the Resource Monitor.

How should I make my decision when facing these discrepancies? More general, Will I be granted only the resources that I choose in my application, or later I still have chances to ask for other resources? What about the resource not listed in the application form (e.g. Lincoln)?

Thanks!
