XSEDE15, the 4th annual conference

will showcase the discoveries, innovations, challenges and achievements of those who utilize and support XSEDE resources and services, as well as other digital resources and services throughout the world. This year's theme is Scientific Advancements Enabled by Enhanced Cyberinfrastructure.

The XSEDE15 Conference is designed to engage and directly benefit diverse communities including students, educators, researchers and practitioners across all fields of study and scholarly research, with particular emphasis placed on engaging under-represented minorities, women, and people with disabilities. The conference will provide numerous opportunities for developers, applications teams, students, innovators, CIOs, IT staff, and policy makers from academia, government, industry and other organizations to engage in discussions that will asssist them in significantly advancing their effective utilization of digital resources. From experts in the field, to people who are novices to the applications of digital resources, the XSEDE15 conference will provide a range of formal and informal opportunities for people to interact and address their diverse needs and interests.

The XSEDE15 conference is chaired by Gregory D. Peterson, the XSEDE Director of Operations and the Director of the National Institute for Computational Sciences at The University of Tennessee. 

"We are excited to welcome the XSEDE community to the conference in St. Louis to share exciting scientific breakthroughs as well as new technologies and techniques for computational science," he said. "The XSEDE conferencce is always a great opportunitie for researchers and practitioners to network and hear the latest dvelopments in computational science and with the national cyberinfrastructure."

The XSEDE conference also serves as a gathering for participants in a number of important outreach activiteis, including a vibrant sutdent program, the XSEDE Scholars Program, and Campus Champions.

XSEDE's Campus Champions program supports campus representatives as a local source of knowledge about high-performance and high-throughput computing and other digital services, opportunities and resources. This knowledge and assistance empowers campus researchers, educators, and students to advance scientific discovery. Currently, there are 241 Campus Champions from 188 different institutions across the United States.

The XSEDE Scholars Program (XSP) is a program for U.S. students from under-represented groups in the area of computational sciences. XSEDE Scholars learn more about high-performance computing and XSEDE resources, network with cutting-edge researchers and professional leaders, and belong to a cohort of student peers to establish a community of academic leaders. The XSEDE Scholars progaram is geared towards students in all fields of study whose research will benefit from computational and data-enabled resoures including high-performance computing systems. In particular, the focus is on under-represented groups such as African-Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, and women.

The Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) is the most advanced, powerful, and robust collection of integrated advanced digital resources and services in the world. It is a single virtual system that scientists can use to interactively share computing resources, data, and expertise. XSEDE accelerates scientific discovery by enhancing the productivity of researchers, engineers, and scholars by deepening and extending the use of XSEDE's ecosystem of advanced digital services and by advancing and sustaining the XSEDE advanced digital infrastructure. XSEDE is a five-year, $121-million project and is supported by the National Science Foundation.

XSEDE15 will take place July 26-30, 2015 in St. Louis, Missouri at the Marriott Renaissance St. Louis Grand Hotel.
